Gelee Powder Gel - Full Set Application

SANITATION: Sanitise your hands and your client's hands with Gelee antiseptic sanitising cleanser prior to the application of the Gelee Powder Gel nail system. Remove polish if necessary.

ETCHING THE NAILPLATE: Correct preparation of the nail plate is very important for proper adhesion. Gently push back cuticles and etch the entire nail surface, making sure that it is free from shine. Clean off dust with a sanitisable nylon brush.

APPLYING TIP EXTENSIONS: If using tip extensions, apply, cut and shape them according to your clients's desire. Brush of excess dust and spray nail plates with Gelee Cleanser. (N.B. This system may also be used as an overlay on natural nails.)

APPLY GELEE PRIMER: Primer is applied to the natural nail plate only. Allow primer to dry thoroughly. The surface of the nail plate must appear chalky white. Do not apply primer on tip extensions.

SPRINKLE GELEE POWDER: Using the wood stick, scoop the powder and sprinkle over the entire nail, while turning finger from side to side to ensure even coverage; until it appears to have matte finish; then cure under a UV light for 30 seconds. Repeat this process of applying Gelee Base again, and then the Powder. Do these steps for all nails on one hand and cure under the UV light for 3 minutes. For new sets, we recommend that you do at least 2 coats of Gelee Base and Powder for durability.

SHAPING: After curing, remove nails from the UV light. Start filing and shaping nails using a medium grit file. Concentrate around the cuticle area and free edge. (Improper filing may cause lifting) Lightly buff nails with a white block buffer. Brush off excess dust with nylon brush. Note: Make sure your buffer is clean and free of oil before buffing. Spray & wipe nails clean using Gelee antiseptic sanitising cleanser.

APPLY GELEE TOP: Brush Gelee Top sealer over entire nail as if you were polishing it. Seal the free edge of the nail. Repeat this process to all nails on one hand and cure under UV light for 1 minute. Remove nails from UV light and apply a second coat of Gelee Top sealer to ensure a smooth and even coverage. Cure under UV light for 3 minutes.

GELEE CLEANSER: After curing, remove nails from UV light. Spray Gelee Cleanser generously onto nails and also onto a lint-free wipe. Gently wipe off sticky residue. Condition the cuticle area with cuticle oil and have your client wash their hands. Now you can appply polish or leave them looking natural.

HELPFUL HINTS:

Refills are needed every 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the client.

Primer must be completely dry to chalky white. Wet primer may cause lifting.

The surface of a well-cured Gelee Base & Powder should be hard and have a grainy finish. If the surface feels gummy, then the gel is not completely cured.
If nails look dull, or have waves, it could mean that you applied Gelee Top sealer too thinly or maybe your light bulb ins't working properly. If your UV light bulb hasn't been changed recently, it can affect the curing time and the shininess of the Gelee Top sealer. We recommend that you change the light bulb once a year. Lastly, your buffer may contain oil. Make sure you use a clean buffer and do not touch nail surface with your fingers.

If nails appear to have white spots, you may be applying too much powder.
