Crushed Shell - How to use.

1. Prepare natural nail, as with any service. Sanitise the hands, remove the natural nail shine, remove dust, dehydrate, prime, apply tip and blend. (A clear tip would be perfect for this service as it allows the nail art shine through).

2. You may either pick up a product ball large enough to cover the free edge area of the tip. As the acrylic mix wets out, dip the product ball into the ShellArt and place onto the tip OR simply pat the shell on top of damp acrylic and gently press into acrylic. For extra sparkle, you can mix NSI Opal Shimmer or a fine glitter into the shell mix or into the powder.

3. For a more uniform look, use the brush tip to mix the shell and acrylic together. To add extra shell, dip the brush tip into the ShellArt and place onto the acrylic product. Press the added shell into the acrylic mix.

4. File and finish the nail surface. ShellArt is easy to file to a smooth finish. Shape the nail with a course file and then either buff to a high gloss or finish with a UV sealer such as NSI Permagloss for a long-lasting, high-gloss finish.

5. Infill/Rebalance procedure: Remove as much product along the smile line as necessary and apply new acrylic or gel product. Use the same coloured ShellArt or try a different coloured ShellArt to create a constantly evolving work of art.

Hint: Crushed shell is available in many colours. Placed over a matching coloured acrylic powder produces amazing results!
